Z by Gabfire is a responsive and highly customizable theme for business and portfolio sites. Z comes with multiple home page layouts, and custom post types for your portfolio and team members.
Z was intended as a one page theme with parallax effect. After customer feedback, however, Z was transformed into a full featured theme for creative businesses. Even though, you can still deploy Z as a One Pager.
Gabfire Z supports one WordPress menu. This is as a fixed menu. On the homepage, the navigation appears as soon as a visitor scrolls down the home page. On inner pages the menu is displayed instantly – without the need to scroll.
Gabfire supplies its themes as lightweight as possible. For this reason, Z installs with just the default WordPress widgets.
Additional widgets are available by installing the free Gabfire Widget Pack that allows you to activate up to fourteen widgets. This includes:
- Ajax Tabs
- Author Badge
- Flickr Images
- Popular/Random Posts
- Recent Tweets
- Social Icons
- Feedburner Email Subscribe
This theme serves 10 widget areas:
- Sidebar 1
- Sidebar 2
- Sidebar Portfolio
- Post Widget
- three Footer columns
The primary sidebar is split in an upper and a lower part. The widgets dragged to Sidebar 1 are displayed above the Portfolio widget, while the contents of Sidebar 2 will be visible below the Portfolio widget.
If you do not want to include the Portfolio widget in the sidebar, you can disable it within the Portfolio settings of the Theme Options. Ignoring either Sidebar 1 or Sidebar 2 is also an option, of course.
The contents of the Post Widget is displayed between a single posts and its comments, while the contents of the Page Widget is added below pages.
By enabling the Widget Map within the Miscellaneous settings of the theme options, every page template will display the widget areas available on that specific page template.
Gabfire Z offers the following page templates:
- Full Width
- Left Sidebar
- Login Form
The Z theme extends WordPress Post and Page screens with Gabfire Custom Fields that allow you to add a Post Entrance, Video URL, Post Layout, and disable Featured Images on Posts and the Inner-page Slider for Posts.
