Event Master by Gabfire is a responsive theme for all kinds of events, including conferences, product launches, WordCamps, festivals, and movie premieres.
Gabfire Event Master supports one WordPress menu; centered on the page, just below the header.
Gabfire supplies its themes as lightweight as possible. For this reason, Event Master installs with just only one custom widgets – the Simple Banner. With the Simple Banner you can easily add images with direct links to any widget area.
Additional widgets become available by installing the free Gabfire Widget Pack that allows you to activate up to fourteen widgets, including:

This theme serves 10 widgetized areas:

Because of the large number of widgetized areas, the optional widget map might come in handy. By enabling the widget map, every page template will display the widgetized areas available for that specific page.
The contents of the Post Widget is displayed between a single posts and its comments, while the contents of the Page Widget is added below pages.

The Event Master theme extends WordPress Post and Page screens with Gabfire Custom Fields that allow you to add a Subtitle, a Video URL, mark an entry as Featured.
Disabling the Featured Image and Innerpage Slider for a selected posts and pages is also possible. For posts you can additionally select one of the available layouts; Default, Big Picture, Left Sidebar, No Sidebar.
The Gabfire Theme Options comprehend ten tabs with options to configure your theme:

The General Settings allow you to upload a logo and favicon and adjust the necessary padding for the logo. In case of a text base logo, you can enter the a custom logo text and a tagline.
Here you have the ability to upload a custom (collage) image as header image for the inner pages. In addition, you have the ability to enter your Google Analytics Code and a URL for your custom RSS Feed.
At the Header page, you can activate the social icons in the header – opposite to the logo – by entering the URLs to your profiles at Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
In order to activate the registration button at the right side of the navigation menu, you only have to enter the link to your registration form. Replacing the default “Register Now” text by your own is also possible of course.
In the demo you will notice an Event Bar just below the Featured Slider. Within the Event Details of the Theme Options, you have the opportunity to customize this bar or disable it altogether.
The Sponsor tab allows you to manage – or disable – the Sponsor Section on the homepage. You can enter the details to links of 15 sponsor – or less.
Besides the image and link regarding the logo or ad of the sponsor, you can also tweak the right and bottom margin concerning individual sponsor images.
The Categories tab offers an easy way to populate the homepage.
Your first option is to select the query type for the Featured Slider. You can choose from Category, Tag-based, Recent Posts, and Custom Field. And of course, you can set the number of entries to display with the slider.

The Sliders settings allows you to set the rotation speed for the sliders embedded in the theme:
- Featured Slider
- Top Carousel – the Left Column Below Speakers
- Mid Carousel – the Media Gallery
- Bottom Carousel – the Left Column Below the Media Slider
- Inner-Page Slider
You can choose to display the inner-page slider, either tag-bases, site-wide, or disable it completely. An easy way to disable the Top, Mid and Bottom Carousel is setting the numbers of posts to show to respectively 2, 4 and 3 entries.
The Image Handling lets you enable the auto resize and display of Featured Images on single post pages. Here you can also choose between TimTumb and the WordPress Post Thumbnails.
Your first option at the Footer Options, is to enable the Newsletter SignUp form. Next you can set the two parts of the widget titles in the footer areas. And you also have the ability to customize the text at the left and at the right side of the footer credits.
Under the Miscellaneous tab you can customize the button text within the Speakers section on the homepage. In the demo, this text reads “See all Speakers”.
Furthermore, you have the ability to assign a two, three, and four column page layouts to selected categories by entering the IDs of these categories. This way you decide which categories with be displayed with 2, 3 or 4 columns.
By enabling the Widget Map, not only the homepage, but every page template will display the available widgetized areas for the specific page.
At the Custom Styling you find a text box where you can enter any desired custom CSS.
Gabfire Themes offers you a choice out off three packages; the Standard Pack, the Developer's Pack, and the Member Club.
The stated price of $59 is regarding the Standard Pack. Besides your theme, the Standard Pack comes with one year of support. You are entitled to lifetime theme updates, and you can use the theme on an unlimited number of domains.
